Most US law schools require that applicants take the
LSAT as part of the application process to the Jurisdoctor
Degree (JD), the professional US law degree.

Most US medical schools require that applicants take
the MCAT as part of the application process to the
MD programme, the professional US medical degree.
English Language Test
Test of English as
a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Many US universities require that non-native English
speakers take the TOEFL as part of the application
process into any undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional
degree. Non-native English speakers who have completed
a number of years in the British education system
may be exempt from taking the TOEFL, but will need
confirmation from each US university.

Exams
Commission Graduates
of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS)
Registered general nurses who were educated outside
the US will usually have to take the CGFNS exam as
part of the licensing requirements to work as a registered
nurse in the US.
Educational Commission
for Foreign Medical Graduates (USMLE)
Medical doctors (or medical students) who were educated
outside the US will have to take the USMLE exam as
part of the licensing requirements to conduct their
medical residency or fellowship in the US.
Test of English as
a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The TOEFL is required of all medical doctors/students
who were educated outside the US. It is also required
of all registered general nurses who were educated
outside of English-speaking countries.
